Aluminum knowledge sharing

Aluminum, as one of the indispensable elements in the world today, is ubiquitous in people's lives. Almost everyone in the world has used aluminum-containing products at some point, consciously or unconsciously. Aluminum has many uses. Here, let's learn some common sense about aluminum.

Question 1. Why should aluminum profiles be surface treated in general?

Aluminum profile if not after surface treatment, the appearance is not beautiful, and in the humid air is easy to rot. In order to improve the decorative effect and enhance the corrosion resistance, prolong the life, aluminum profiles need to be treated.

Question 2: Why is aluminum more expensive than iron?

Aluminum has a more complicated production process than iron. Aluminum is a relatively active metal element, smelting needs to be through electrolysis. In the whole production process to consume the cost is higher than iron, natural aluminum price is higher than iron.

Question 3. Why doesn't aluminum rust?

Aluminum rusts too, but not like iron. Aluminum reacts with oxygen to form aluminum oxide, which is aluminum rust. Aluminum rust is very thin, only a millionth of a millimeter thick, but it is very hard, very wear-resistant, and it adheres to the surface of the aluminum, keeping the aluminum inside from reaching the air and preventing it from further rusting.
